Tracy Orwig
LCSW-C
I am a licensed clinical social worker with 30 years of experience in various settings including nursing homes/rehabilitation centers, hospitals, and non-profit organizations. My passion for social work began in college where I majored in Sociology and minored in Psychology. I continued my career path to clinical social work by obtaining my Master degree in Social Work, with a clinical health specialization. I am a warm and compassionate therapist specializing in supporting individuals and families dealing with aging and life transitions, chronic illness, life-threatening illnesses like cancer, and end of life issues.
I have experience working with adults, older adults/seniors, and veterans who are coping with issues such as trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, and loneliness. I also provide education and support to those navigating caregiver roles and caregiver stress.
My approach is strengths-based and person-centered, tailored to individual needs. I offer a safe space to process one’s thoughts and feelings and work on goals towards healing and growth.
“The most beautiful people I’ve known are those who have known trials, have known struggles, have known loss, and have found their way out of the depths.” – Elisabeth Kübler-Ross
