Rachel Scharf
LCSW-C
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Maryland, with experience supporting children, teens, and young adults through anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, identity exploration, and life transitions. My therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and grounded in the conviction that every person deserves to feel seen, safe, and supported throughout the healing journey.
I provide neuro affirming, trauma‑informed, and LGBTQIA+ affirming care. I draw from both expressive and evidence‑based modalities — including play therapy, sand tray, creative arts, and trauma‑focused CBT — and adapt my approach to meet each client’s unique needs.
My prior work includes roles in school‑based settings and community mental health, where I provided individual therapy, group therapy, parent support, and crisis intervention.
